Float pool now. Does that count toward travelling later?

Eighteen months of a different unit most shifts. The plan was always that this becomes travel eventually, on the theory that float is the same muscle.
What I do not know is whether recruiters see it that way, or whether they want two years on one unit and read float as unfocused.
Anyone gone float to travel? Did the variety help you or did you have to explain it every time?

Came at it from the opposite side, two years on one floor, and the thing every recruiter asked me was whether I had worked anywhere other than my own unit. So the muscle you are worried about is the one they are checking for.
What they also want is a specialty they can place you in. Float reads as adaptable, and adaptable plus nothing specific is harder to submit than adaptable plus cardiac.

Pick the unit you float to most and start calling that your home. Not a fiction, just a decision about which of your eighteen months is the headline.
