Francis Parker School

Named after Colonel Francis W. Parker, regarded as the 'father of progressive education,' the institution is one of San Diego's most respected independent schools, known for academic excellence and civic-mindedness. The current Head of School is Kevin Yaley. For nursing professionals, Parker employs school nurses to provide on-site healthcare services to its student body. The nurse's primary role is to utilize nursing skills and professional judgment to ensure all students receive appropriate health care services, fulfilling the daily duties of an on-site nurse when the regular school nurse(s) are unavailable, including providing acute care.
