OVS represents what it describes as the first facility of its kind in northern Oregon, combining outpatient specialty consultation, an ultrasound laboratory, and modern office-based procedural capabilities under one roof. The practice is supported by Heart & Vascular Partners (HVP), a management services organization dedicated to partnering with independently owned cardiology and vascular practices across the U.S. Despite transitioning to an independent practice model, OVS maintains a close partnership with Providence Health System and continues to serve as the exclusive providers of vascular care throughout the Providence system in Oregon. This dual clinic-hospital relationship means nursing staff may work across both ambulatory and inpatient settings. The practice treats the full spectrum of vascular conditions, including arterial diseases, venous diseases, dialysis access, wound care, and other specific vascular conditions, utilizing both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques. For nursing professionals, particularly Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, OVS offers opportunities to work in a specialized vascular care environment collaborating directly with four vascular surgeons. The APP role spans clinic operations and hospital service, involving patient assessments, minor clinical procedures, post-operative follow-up care, patient consults, and patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention. The practice emphasizes evidence-based medicine and the latest surgical and endovascular innovations.
