The Legacy at Oak Hill

Opened in September 2015 and last renovated in January 2022, the community has a resident capacity of 94 and provides full assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, as well as advanced dementia care. The community is conveniently located near Circle C, Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Lakeway, and Southwest Austin medical providers. The facility does not accept Medicaid beds. For nursing professionals, The Legacy at Oak Hill employs roles such as Med Techs, Nursing Assistants, Medication Aides, and Direct Care Workers rather than traditional hospital RN positions. Med Tech responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, measuring height and weight, calculating fluid intake and output, providing medication reminders, assisting with ADLs, transferring and positioning residents, providing skin care, contributing to resident assessments and care plans, delivering restorative nursing services, and caring for residents with dementia. The work environment is focused on personalized, resident-centered care in a community setting rather than acute clinical care.
