Position Overview
WCMS is seeking an experienced *Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Occupational Health Nurse Manager* for a full-time onsite program in Lafayette, Indiana.
This is a hands-on clinical leadership position within an industrial/manufacturing environment. The RN Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the onsite Occupational Health clinic while also providing direct clinical services to employees.
The ideal candidate combines strong nursing judgment with leadership, organization, emergency-response capability, and an understanding of occupational medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the onsite Occupational Health clinic
- Provide assessment and first-line treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses
- Coordinate injury management, follow-up care, referrals, and return-to-work activities
- Perform and coordinate occupational medical surveillance services
- Support drug and alcohol testing programs
- Coordinate laboratory, diagnostic, and specialty medical services
- Participate in emergency response planning and onsite medical response
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records
- Support OSHA-related medical documentation and reporting
- Coordinate with WCMS Medical Director and advanced practice providers
- Work collaboratively with client HR, EHS/Safety, Operations, and Emergency Response personnel
- Monitor clinic supplies, medications, equipment, and required calibrations
- Assist with employee health education and preventive-health initiatives
- Participate in quality assurance, case review, and continuous improvement activities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to other onsite WCMS clinical personnel
- Ensure services are delivered according to WCMS clinical standards, applicable regulations, and client requirements
Qualifications
*Required*
- Current unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and emergency-response skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently in an onsite clinical environment
- Comfortable collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, HR, EHS, and operational leadership
*Preferred*
- Occupational Health or industrial nursing experience
- Previous nursing leadership or clinic-management experience
- Experience with workers' compensation and injury management
- Knowledge of OSHA medical surveillance requirements
- Experience with drug/alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry, or occupational medical testing
- ACLS certification
