Portsmouth is a compact coastal city where brick-lined Market Square, centuries-old wharf buildings, and a working harbor give every shift change a postcard backdrop. Nurses drawn to New England maritime charm—lobster rolls, Prescott Park concerts, and nearby beaches—will feel at home in this historic seaport.

Worth asking

We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through base pay range and differentials?
  • What should I expect for holiday and rotation?
  • What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load and staffing support handled day to day?
