Our services are delivered across three clinic locations and sixteen public school-based satellite clinics.

*Position Overview*

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide clinical and administrative support across our Sunnyside and Woodside clinic locations. This role includes completing pre-authorizations, supporting clozapine (REMS) processes, coordinating laboratory testing, monitoring patient health, administering injectable medications, and assisting the psychiatrist in delivering comprehensive care.

Our clinics operate Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

*Job Summary*

We are seeking a part-time, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Registered Nurse (RN) for approximately 10 hours per week. The RN will perform pre-authorizations, manage clozapine-related processes, coordinate lab work, provide health monitoring, administer injectables, and support psychiatric services.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Provide health education and guidance to support patients’ medical and physical well-being
  • Work with individuals to improve health outcomes through lifestyle changes and treatment adherence
  • Encourage healthy habits, including nutrition, exercise, and medication compliance
  • Monitor and assess conditions such as hypertension, obesity, and medication side effects
  • Assist patients in setting health goals and developing care plans
  • Coordinate referrals to Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and other healthcare professionals
  • Support psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners (NPPs) with pre-authorizations
  • Administer long-acting injectable medications as prescribed (e.g., every 4 weeks)
  • Order, track, and follow up on laboratory tests; communicate results to providers
  • Assist physicians with clinical documentation as needed
  • Connect patients to community resources and supportive services
  • Collaborate with care management and administrative teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care
  • Support integration of primary care and behavioral health in treatment planning

*Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Education Department
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Experience in outpatient, community health, or behavioral health settings preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
