American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2 years of Med/Surg-Telemetry experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Acute care Telemetry unit setting
- Cares for MedSurg/Telemetry patients with typical ratios of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in MedSurg/Telemetry required
- Previous Epic EMR experience required
- Travel RN experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care, education, and care coordination for telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Skills such as IV therapy, central/PICC line management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and wound care may be required depending on unit needs
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans
- Mentors and orients newly hired staff as needed
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for local candidate rate
- Local candidates accepted at local rate
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
