Are you an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) ready to step into a rewarding interim leadership role? A skilled nursing facility in the Indianapolis area is seeking a confident, results-driven Interim Director of Nursing to provide strong clinical leadership, support the nursing team, and ensure exceptional resident care during a leadership transition.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an RN leader who enjoys making an immediate impact, leading teams through change, and maintaining excellence in clinical operations.

Position

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the nursing department Support, mentor, and guide nursing staff to deliver outstanding resident care Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations Oversee clinical operations, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to maintain efficient operations Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance Promote a positive, team-focused culture while maintaining high clinical standards

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly assess needs and lead teams effectively
