Responsibilities
Is aware of department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (eg. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or administrative staff.
Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.
Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.
Provide whole person, integrated care with primary focus on the treatment of mental health conditions within an outpatient clinic.
Work collaboratively with psychiatric providers, reception and scheduling staff, care coordinators, and other team members to ensure client needs are met.
Job tasks include rooming patients, completing health questionnaires (vital signs, medications, mental health symptoms, concurrent physical health or substance use disorders, etc.), processing refill requests, communicating assessment results, lab reports, pharmacy inquiries, and client concerns with psychiatric providers.
Performs additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited nursing program, required
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Iowa, required
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Iowa Drivers License, required
Experience with persons in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders, preferred.
