About this role
Utilization Management Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) Intern at Humana. Conducts clinical reviews of prior authorization requests for medical necessity and benefit eligibility, applies evidence-based clinical guidelines, communicates with healthcare providers, coordinates with medical directors and interdisciplinary teams, documents review findings, implements quality assurance measures, and educates providers on prior authorization policies. Reports to manager of National Medicaid team.
Remote work at home position. Requires active RN license in Kentucky or enhanced Compact (eNLC) without restrictions, minimum 2 years clinical behavioral health experience, and eligibility as transitioning military service member or military spouse for DOW SkillBridge or Military Spouse Fellowship Program. Work schedule weekdays 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time.

- Active RN license in Kentucky or enhanced Compact (eNLC) without restrictions
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
