Schedule & Assignments
Two 10-hour shifts per week
On-call: Up to 7 days per four-week period (one full weekend required)
13-week contract
Floating required if census is low
Desired Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR RN experience
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing program
Active New York State RN license
Required
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS
Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell technology is a plus
Ability to provide compassionate care to adult patients with CAD, AS, MR, and related conditions
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert cardiovascular perioperative care in a 2-bed CVOR unit
Maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment, ensuring best practices in infection control
Collaborate with physicians and the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care in EPIC
Respond promptly to emergency situations and adapt to floating placements within the facility
