About this role
Position reports directly to the Northwest VP, Regional CNE, Systems & Strategy. This role provides strategic leadership as the nursing and patient care executive position responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within, but not limited to: Ambulatory, Care Continuum, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Regional Advice Nurse Services (these areas are matrixed reporting and are both solid or dotted). The Nurse Executive provides direction, leadership, planning, organization and general management for all aspects of patient care, partnering with key stakeholders such as the VP of Ambulatory, and other VPs, ensuring integration of services and compliance with long range objectives and strategies, including the provision of excellent quality services and responsible fiscal management.

This role represents nursing/patient executive leadership team, at applicable medical executive committee and medical staff committees. The Nurse Executive has oversight for the professional practice of nursing and the provision of nursing care in all licensed or surveyable areas. Oversight is defined as having responsibility for regulatory, quality, service, resources, nursing staff competency and evaluation of the overall delivery of nursing care.
Essential Responsibilities include: Being accountable for successful attainment of Magnet designation, developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders, managing organizational relationships, participating in the development, implementation, utilization and evaluation of cost effective, programs, policies and procedures that address the high quality nursing care, treatment and service needs of the patient population, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical issues related to client data, information, and confidentiality, among other duties. Basic qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or health care relevant field required and a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Preferred qualifications include experience in a Magnet designated organization and/or experience leading an organization to Magnet status (preferred) and a DNP or PhD in Nursing.
