About this role
Professional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience. Responsibilities include assessing physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient, developing individualized plans of care, implementing nursing education assessment, evaluating patient response to nursing interventions and teaching, and demonstrating leadership skills. Position is at Good Samaritan Medical Center, a 333-bed acute care hospital part of the Palm Beach Health Network.
