Responsibilities
- Provide direct, ongoing nursing care for ICU patients, including routine assessments and monitoring of vital signs, telemetry, and organ function
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products per physician orders and unit protocol
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and other advanced life support measures as needed
- Respond rapidly to acute changes in patient condition, initiating and coordinating interventions with the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists to optimize patient care
- Floats between ICU and ER as needed to support unit coverage and census
Requirements
- Current active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- ICU and ER experience preferred due to potential floating between units
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- CCRN encouraged but not required
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour day shift in a rural hospital setting
