We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse or Social Worker - UR/Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring that new patients receive a thorough assessment and seamless transition into our care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Experience in various nursing specialties is highly valued, as you will be working with diverse patient populations. The position is Full Time working 8:00AM- 8:30PM Onsite (3 12's) and includes every other Saturday.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or LMSW licensure in the state of practice
  • Experience in acute care settings, psychiatric hospital, or long-term care preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices
  • Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions promptly
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques, infection control practices, and behavioral health considerations
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Behavioral health hospital experience
