You will be an integral part of a team of nurses who staff the 6 Guest First Aid facilities, located in each of the Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks. In the scope of a Florida Registered nurse practice, and Disney policies and procedures, the registered nurse will provide exceptional service and service recovery to guests who seek out First Aid services and assistance. When appropriate, and based on the assessment of the guest's situation, refer guests for higher care such as a local urgent clinic and/or emergency services. This is a part-time scheduled three 8 hour paid shifts per week. During schedule preferencing, workdays will be established, but not times of shifts. The candidate must plan to work weekends and holidays. Working conditions require standing for long periods of time. Frequent walking and lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects throughout the shift. You must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Frequent bending, stretching, or twisting of the body. Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. A nurse needs physical strength and the ability to kneel/squat to complete emergency procedures such as CPR. Responsibilities: * Follow established practices for care outlined under Florida RN licensure standards and Company Policies and standing orders * Expected to use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities to accurately provide medical assessment and care. When appropriate, and based on the assessment of a patient's situation, refer guests to a higher level of care, such as local urgent clinics and/or emergency services * Ability to multi-task in a competent, efficient manner with solution-oriented work habits in a fast-paced environment * Provide exceptional service and service recovery * Exhibit a positive and friendly attitude * Establish great working relationships and be a team player Basic Qualifications: * 3+ years of nursing experience * Valid Florida Driver’s License * Demonstrated high-quality clinical skills and decision-making skills * Demonstrated strong service-oriented skills * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously * Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with basic ability to work within a Microsoft Office suite of programs * Self-motivated to work in a team environment * Full availability with work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts Preferred Qualifications: * Languages in addition to English Required Education: * Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field * Current and clear Florida Registered Nursing license * BLS Certified Preferred Education: * Master’s degree in Nursing The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $39.90 - $53.46 hourly pay rate. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
