About this role

The Heritage Center is seeking a Full-Time Unit Director! The Unit Director is responsible for managing the delivery of resident care on their assigned unit to ensure the optimal level of physical, psychosocial and spiritual well-being for its residents. The Unit Director will facilitate and coordinate all compliance regarding documentation and resident care. This position is responsible for managing staff on the unit and will guide, monitor, and motivate the team.

Position Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must be an RN or an LPN
  • Current licensure in the state of Indiana.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate unit compliance.

Physical Qualifications

  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a drug screen, TB, and basic physical.
  • Frequent movements including bending/stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, balancing, pushing/pulling, and occasionally crawling.
  • Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs., and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be able to lift and transfer patients, using proper body mechanics.
  • Must be able to operate the necessary equipment, using proper body mechanics.
  • Must be able to perform Range of Motion in both upper extremities, lower extremities, and in your spinal cord.
  • Must be able to pass a visual acuity test.
  • Must be able to speak and hear in a manner understood by most persons.
