About this role

UW Medical Center-Montlake - Urologic Oncology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse.

Work schedule

Per diem schedule / variable hours per week Must be available to work day shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm Must be available to pick up shifts Monday-Friday Preference will be given to RNs who can regularly work at least 6 shifts each month Per diem RNs may work extra hours when needed to cover staffing vacancies, time off requests, and sick calls

Department Description

The Urology Clinic at UW Medical Center-Montlake diagnoses and treats patients with urologic cancer and general urology conditions. The clinic hosts the Bladder Cancer Multispecialty Clinic and the Prostate Cancer Multispecialty Clinic. UW Medical Center-Montlake Urology was recently recognized as a UW Medicine Patient Experience Top Performer for Medical Practice.

Position highlights

Work a flexible schedule in a position offering work-life balance Provide patient-centered care in an outpatient setting

Primary Job Responsibilities

Provide care for patients with prostate, bladder, and other urologic cancers Perform catheter changes, specimen collection, and intravesical treatments in a clinic setting Perform port and PICC lining blood draws and care Assist our providers during minimally invasive procedures Conduct Epic InBasket triage and telephone triage

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent oncology, urology, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience
  • BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
