About this role
*Job Description:*
4 Medical is a 25-bed unit, 11 are private rooms and 7 semi-private.
Nursing ratio is 5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights, with nurses occasionally having 1 total care patient.
We get a wide variety of patients, but our biggest population is stroke patients; we get most strokes that don't need TPA and comfort care or hospice patients. We also get a variety of post-operative patients, including amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes. We get heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA patients, Aki, dialysis, and COPD exacerbations. RNs who are stroke certified, able to do three 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday.
