Duties and Responsibilities – Director of Nursing (DON)
Direct, oversee, and evaluate nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, etc.)
Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
Develop and enforce policies for legal compliance and quality standards
Control budgets and monitor expenditures
Resolve issues and deficiencies as needed
Manage record-keeping procedures
