Registered Nurse

• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterization with precision following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.

• Manage complex clinical procedures such as wound suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and dialysis treatments.

• Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care activities, medical records, and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9).

• Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care (ICU/Trauma), emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal resuscitation, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health.

• Conduct patient education on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and chronic disease management including long-term care and memory care.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals during diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing or sonography to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current state registration and compliance with licensure requirements.

• Proven experience working in hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or teaching hospitals is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, cardiac catheterization support, trauma medicine, and infectious disease care.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and laboratory experience.

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus.

• Skilled in performing advanced nursing procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing, ostomy care, and neonatal ventilator management.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; familiarity with senior care practices including memory care is advantageous.

• Ability to handle acute pain management cases efficiently while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards.

• Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and case management; ability to work effectively in fast-paced urgent care or emergency room environments.
