Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult critical care patients as part of a float pool, including ICU, and adjacent high-acuity areas as assigned
- Float to all critical care floors, the emergency department and ER hold as needed; assist with MTC/Step-Down/PACU holds when required
- Monitor and interpret patient conditions, administer medications, and manage invasive lines and devices within scope of practice
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; document assessments and interventions in the EPIC EMR
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based nursing practice; respond to rapid changes in patient status
- Ensure continuity of care during shift transitions and communicate effectively with staff and families
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or comparable high-acuity hospital experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR or demonstrated ability to learn new electronic charting systems
- Ability to float across units as part of a float pool; willingness to work night shifts (2x3 Nights) and adhere to a minimal RTO policy
