About this role
NurseAmerica Healthcare | Reston, VA (Hybrid) | Full-Time
About NurseAmerica
NurseAmerica Healthcare is a fast-growing healthcare workforce solutions company headquartered in Reston, Virginia. We connect hospitals, health systems, and post-acute facilities with exceptional nursing and allied talent through our RN staffing. As we scale, we're looking for a Registered Nurse who wants more than a bedside role, someone ready to help build and lead a healthcare staffing organization from the inside.
The Opportunity This is a rare hybrid clinical-business leadership role. You'll bring your nursing expertise into the boardroom, the client meeting, and the leadership table, bridging the gap between frontline clinical reality and the strategic direction of a growing company. You won't just fill a seat; you'll help define what quality nursing talent means for our clients, ensure our internal hiring reflects that standard, and represent NurseAmerica as a trusted clinical voice in front of hospital systems, post-acute, long-term care operators, and industry partners. This role reports directly into our leadership team and offers a genuine path into a management position as the company grows.
What You'll Do
- Business Development & Client Relations: Represent NurseAmerica in client meetings, industry conferences, and partnership discussions. Help translate client staffing needs into clinical requirements our team can act on.
- Talent Quality Oversight: Partner with our HR and recruiting team to define, evaluate, and validate the clinical skill sets and qualifications required for nursing candidates across specialties.
- Compliance & Education:
Support the development and oversight of nurse education, credentialing, and compliance programs to keep our workforce audit-ready and client-compliant.
- Strategic Leadership: Sit at the table as we shape hiring standards, service lines, and growth strategy using your clinical lens to keep the business grounded in real-world care delivery.
- Team Support: Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to recruiting staff; step into a supervisory capacity as the team scales.
What We're Looking For
- Active RN license in good standing (Virginia license or Compact required)
- Experience in general nursing, or any acute care or post-acute specialty (med-surg, ICU, ED, rehab, SNF, home health, etc.)
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
- Genuine interest in the business side of healthcare: staffing, workforce strategy, or healthcare operations
- Comfort representing an organization externally: confident communicator with clients, partners, and at industry events
- Detail-oriented mindset for compliance, credentialing, and quality standards
- Entrepreneurial spirit: excited to help build something, not just execute an existing playbook
- Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings and conferences
Why NurseAmerica
- Direct line of sight to company leadership and strategy
- Hybrid flexibility based out of our Reston, VA office
- The chance to shape a growing company's hiring standards, culture, and client relationships from an early stage
- Compensation
- Salary: $91,000 to $128,000
