Position Overview
Medina Meadows, a small, hotel‑like skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Manager. The ideal candidate will provide clinical leadership, oversee resident care, and support a team committed to delivering high‑quality, person-centered care in a warm, home‑like environment.

Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations on the day shift for the assigned unit.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff — including LPNs, STNAs, and caregivers — ensuring delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Conduct resident assessments, ensure accurate documentation, and oversee care plan implementation and updates.
Collaborate with administration (DON, ADON) to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Maintain high standards of infection control, medication management, resident safety, and overall unit cleanliness.
Facilitate effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and ensuring smooth transitions in care.
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to staff to promote professional development and high retention.
Required Qualifications
Current, active RN license in the state of Ohio (or relevant licensing, depending on facility location).
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage care planning, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to providing care in a respectful, patient‑centered way — treating residents as individuals, not as numbers.
Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and remain calm during stressful situations.
