Registered Nurse

As a *Pain Medicine RN*, you’ll enjoy a supportive team environment, flexible hours, and the opportunity to work closely with physicians on advanced pain management procedures - all without the long hospital shifts.

The perfect candidate must exhibit excellent work ethics, take initiative to self-manage your work, multitask and adapt to change in a busy environment. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus along with ICU experience. Position is PRN and will include coordinated shifts throughout the month which may include Saturdays.

Schedules are planned two to three months in advance.

*What You’ll Do*

• Take pre-procedure assessments
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement care plans
• Take and monitor vital signs
• Administer pain medications (IV, IM, etc.)
• Monitor and recover patients receiving conscious sedation
• Prep procedure rooms and assist physicians with invasive pain management techniques
• Educate patients and families on treatment options
• Document and evaluate patient responses to care
• Provide compassionate support to patients suffering from pain

*What We’re Looking For*

• Current, active RN license (Texas)
• ACLS certification (Sedation certification preferred, or willingness to obtain)
• 2+ years of RN experience (pain management or related specialty strongly preferred)
• At least 2,000 hours of pain management nursing within the past 3 years
• 30 hours of continuing education in the past 3 years (15 hours specific to pain management)
• Strong multitasking skills, adaptability, and a team-first mindset
