The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant MDS Director RN to join our clinical leadership team. The Assistant MDS Director RN supports the MDS Director in coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring accurate and timely MDS submissions, care planning, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Assist with completion and oversight of MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations Support coordination of the RAI process and interdisciplinary care planning Ensure accurate and timely MDS submissions to maximize reimbursement and maintain compliance Review clinical documentation to support coding accuracy and quality measures Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams regarding resident assessments and care plans Monitor Medicare and managed care documentation requirements Assist in preparing for audits and regulatory surveys Provide education and support to clinical staff regarding MDS processes and documentation standards Maintain knowledge of current CMS guidelines and reimbursement systems Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Prior MDS experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required RAC-CT certification preferred Strong knowledge of Medicare, PPS, PDPM, and CMS regulations Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with PCC and electronic medical records preferred Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $140,000 annually (based on experience)
