The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to oversee clinical operations for a designated nursing unit. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative leadership team in a fast-paced rehabilitation and long-term care environment.
Position Overview
The RN Unit Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising nursing services on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of a 40-bed nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Address staff performance, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary Complete required documentation such as assessments, reports, audits, and care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of resident care Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies Make sound clinical and administrative decisions in a timely manner Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care preferred) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Solid understanding of clinical practices, regulatory standards, and long-term care operations Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Must demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $120,000 annually Daily Pay option available
