About this role
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes. Positions available on ART 6 East (surgical acute care) and ART 6 West (acute care). ART 6 East cares for patients recovering from Whipple's, TIPS, splenectomies, cholecystectomies, Nissen Fundoplications, colectomies, cardiology, and general medicine patients.
ART 6 West is a 21-bed acute care unit providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses including general medicine, cardiology, GI surgery, surgical oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, and hematology/oncology. Typical nurse to patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5.

Requirements
- RN License (South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state)
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross CPR/AED)
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
- Associate or Diploma degree in nursing accepted with requirement to enroll in BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years
- New graduate RN
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to perform job functions while standing (continuous)
