RN Nurse Educator - Oncology Medical Surgical at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 10-hour Day shifts (4 shifts per week) with flexibility to work weekends based on training needs.

Serves as a consultant, educator, researcher, and clinical expert for the medical center and service area. Demonstrates expertise in the care of age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) according to clinical specialty, and participates in related continuing education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Coursework/Training and Advanced study in area of clinical specialization.

Coursework/Training and Course work in adult education principles.

Coursework/Training and Training in performance improvement and research methodology.

Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Upon hire: NNR for employees in L&D, NICU, Nursery, Postpartum (Postpartum - within 90 days from date of hire; Other areas - within 180 days of completion of clinical orientation; New graduates - 365 days from date of hire)

1 year of experience in adult education, patient/family education.

3 years of experience in nursing specialty area of Oncology.

Preferred

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing.
