Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as necessary, ensuring patient safety and monitoring for any adverse effects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication management.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress, treatment approaches, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in behavioral health, incorporating evidence-based approaches into practice.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their autonomy.
Qualifications
- Current valid license as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia.
- Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently, make sound clinical judgments, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer literacy.
- Federal DEA license
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Pay: $70.00 - $72.00 per hour
