About this role
*Overview*
*Wayne County Care Center *is looking for a day and night shift (12 Hours) part-time floor nurse to join our team. We take pride in the care we give which has awarded us good surveys and a 5 Star rating. Our team is dedicated to giving compassionate care to provide our residents with a home like experience. We have low patient ratios with constant support of ancillary nurses including a free floating day shift supervisor to help. We look forward to showing you our 50 bed Nursing Home with our 6 bed Assisted Living!

- Deliver direct patient care by performing thorough assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex medical procedures such as catheterizations, tube feeding, and wound care management with precision and confidence.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like PointClickCare for meticulous documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
- Collaborate with our inhouse NP and Medical director on care for our residents.
- Support infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.
*Experience*
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including PointClickCare for efficient medical documentation .
- Background working with specialized populations such as geriatrics patients with developmental disabilities enhances your versatility.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform accurate patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Experience managing complex pain management cases, hospice & palliative medicine practices adding valuable depth to your skill set.
- Knowledge of geriatric long term care practices.
