Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to LTAC patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process.
- Monitor patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care.
- Deliver high-quality wound care management.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in patient care decisions.
- Prioritize and delegate patient care assignments appropriately.
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent LTAC RN experience in an LTAC hospital setting.
- Experience with:
- Ventilator management
- Tracheostomy care
- Wound care
- Current ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current TB documentation.
- Physical exam clearance.
