DON Responsibilities
Promote and enhance the level of clinical expertise of staff to provide safe and quality nursing care and documentation as necessary Review physician’s orders and update the plans of care and documentation as necessary Assist with interviewing, selecting, training, and validation of new team members Internal case management, evaluation, and development of nursing talent Ensure adherence to state, federal, JCAHO, and local policies and procedures Supervise nursing staff providing in-skilled nursing care to clients of all ages Up to 15 hours per week of direct nursing care (Skilled infusion / Bedside Care) is part of the job responsibility Help with calls (Intake, Customers, Employees) when required Staffing Nursing cases when needed Exceptional Communication skills - Communicate with internal team, employees, pharmacy partners, vendors, customers in an effective and timely manner
DON Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nursing Current Florida RN license in good standing Minimum two (2) years of experience in home care nursing Management and nursing administrative experience required Current CPR certification Current driver’s license TB skin test results within one year of hire or chest X-ray within 5 years of hire Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Ability to commute to work in North Miami daily and commute to customer location when needed.
