Major Responsibilities 1:4 Nurse to patient ratio Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time .9/7a Where You Will Work SSU is a 35-bed department broken up in 2 separate units that are staffed as their own entities. SSU operates as the observation unit, acting to offload the emergency department. SSU is a fast paced, cardiac telemetry environment where nurses are working in tandem with physicians to make clinical decisions about evolving plans of care. SSU has a strong presence in organizational professional development, offers ample opportunity for growth and regularly leads the hospital in initiatives and by example. SSU team members are close knit, work well in tandem with other care teams and are trusted to provide quality care to a diverse population of patients from all over the area. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
