Bellwood Developmental Center an 82 bed ICF/DD Facility is looking for experienced, creative & dependable Full Time & Part Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for Evening and Weekend Shifts to join our dynamic, caring, progressive and close-knit community. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Responsibilities
Administer nursing care to intellectually and developmentally disabled patients
Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Qualifications
Previous LPN experience providing health care services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required
Previous LPN experience in nursing or other medical fields
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
