Do you enjoy working with children and making a difference in their lives? The Nurse Network is seeking a compassionate and experienced *Registered Nurse (RN)* to provide *substitute/as-needed one-on-one nursing care* for a student with complex medical needs in a high school setting.
This flexible opportunity is ideal for an RN looking to provide coverage when needed while supporting a student’s health, safety, and success throughout the school day.
The RN will provide individualized nursing care, follow the student’s care plan, and work closely with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements
- Active Connecticut RN License
- Strong respiratory and tracheostomy care experience *required*
- G-tube experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) preferred
- Knowledge of VP Shunt precautions and magnet sensitivity preferred
- Compassion, patience, and a passion for working with children
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care during assigned substitute shifts
- Meet the student at the designated transportation pickup location when required
- Provide nursing care during transportation and throughout the school day
- Monitor the student’s condition and respond according to the individualized care plan
- Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube feedings via pump as needed
- Assist with transfers using a mechanical lift and provide incontinence care when needed
- Support communication needs while promoting a safe and positive environment
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers
