Travel Registered Nurse LTAC Job

• Setting: LTAC-focused skilled nursing environment in Albuquerque, NM

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term acute care setting, including initial assessments and ongoing condition monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, manage IV therapy and wound care as applicable.
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, respond to emergent situations, and escalate concerns to the medical team promptly.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized care plans; document assessments, progress notes, and care metrics.
• Support safe patient handling, infection control, and device management (e.g., lines, tubes) per facility policy.
• Educate residents and families on care plans, discharge planning, and post-acute needs to promote understanding and engagement.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in good standing; eligibility to practice in New Mexico or holding a multi-state license as appropriate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care, LTAC, or acute care/step-down settings preferred.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary LTAC environment and adapt to a 3x12-hour day shift schedule.
• Willingness to undergo required background check and drug screening.
