Pediatric Registered Nurse /LPN

• Deliver direct patient care to pediatric populations, including infants, toddlers, and adolescents, ensuring safety and comfort during medical procedures and assessments.
• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform suturing as needed with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and developmental assessments tailored for children with diverse needs.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin therapy and manage acute pain or trauma cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support triage processes by evaluating patient symptoms, prioritizing care needs, and coordinating referrals for specialty services like ophthalmology or cardiology.
• Provide education on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, and disease management tailored for pediatric patients and their families.

*Qualifications*

• Valid licensure as a Pediatric Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), with current state certification.
• Demonstrated experience working with children in clinical or hospital settings; pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and developmentally appropriate care practices.
• Experience with specialized procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
• Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or PICU is highly desirable; trauma center experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and healthcare teams; compassionate approach to patient care.
