About this role
The Staff Registered Nurse is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in the emergency care setting, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Staff Registered Nurse provides patient care for all ages in compliance with policies/procedures and the standards of professional nursing practice as defined by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. In the staff nurse's professional practice, he/she is responsible for maintaining quality, cost-effectiveness, and superior patient relations.
Duties include performing head-to-toe assessments and psych-social assessments on all patients and performing reassessments as per departmental policy, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and registration in the EHR system, following up on all send-out lab specimens with accurate documentation and physician notification, documenting accurately on the perpetual narcotic inventory form and reporting any discrepancies.
