About this role
Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model. Acts as clinical resource by overseeing the delivery of patient care, directs and delegates patient care assignments to home health aides and nursing staff based on acuteness of patient care needs and staff capability.
Maintains clinical competence in providing direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, all other disciplines, primary and secondary physicians and community resources/programs. Performs on-call duties effectively with the ability to triage patients over the phone and visit when needed.

Requirements
- Degree from accredited academic nursing program
- Minimum ADN preparation
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Inpatient experience
