Decatur sits just east of Atlanta with a walkable downtown square, indie restaurants, and a tight-knit community feel. Tree-lined streets and historic bungalows give this inner suburb its own identity, separate from the city it borders—an appealing option for nurses who want metro access with a slower pace.

Worth asking

The posting doesn’t answer these. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through differentials?
  • What should I expect for shifts, weekly hours, weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
  • What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load, floating, and staffing support handled day to day?
