Registered Nurse - Complex Medical - RN

Location: Domitilla 3D (DO3D), General Internal Medicine (General Care) Patient Care Type: A general medical unit with oversight electrocardiogram monitoring (ECG) available for patients on the General Internal Medicine (GIM) services. Bed #: 39 Nursing Team Roles: General medicine patients present with a variety of acute or chronic health problems and are from counties outside the Rochester area. Complex discharge planning is often required to return these patients to the community.

The unit supports a shared decision framework to promote professional development. The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
