About this role
Nurse Assistant position on the 48-bed Medical Surgical Unit at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assisting with vital signs, specimen collection, venipuncture, patient admissions/transfers/discharges, personal care (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility), and maintaining a clean safe patient environment. Full-time, day shift 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (PCT, PAT) OR enrollment in nursing program with completed Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained licensed RN without Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program OR at least 1 year experience as Nurse Assistant, PCT, PAT or similar role
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred
- BLS Heart Saver Certification (completed during orientation)
- Physical ability to lift and move patients, supplies, and equipment
- Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting
