About this role
Registered Nurse position at Wellstar Health System in Marietta, GA. Day shift. Core responsibilities include performing the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice; providing relationship-based patient-centered care; coordinating care through effective partnerships; practicing using current clinical practice standards; teamwork and collaboration; participating in performance improvement and shared governance; completing professional competency assessments; serving as preceptor/mentor; promoting evidence-based practice and nursing research; upholding organizational policies and clinical competencies including TJC Patient Safety Goals.
Required: Associates Nursing or Diploma, RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact), BLS, ACLS within 180 days. Minimum 2 years current experience in specified area of practice. Computer/data entry experience required.
Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Resources and Support * Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum in the course of giving direct patient care. * Participates in the development of protocols and procedures when called upon or through self-initiation in collaboration with care managers and other members of the health care team to achieve best practice outcomes (i.e., decrease in re-admission rates; avoidable days; adverse events; etc.). * Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
