• 12 hour shift/week in Consultation RN role + One 12 shift/week in CVICU bedside role. Willing to consider PT days in Consultation RN role only.

The Consultation Nurse responds to situations in the hospital where a patient is showing signs of clinical deterioration. This position will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and rounding on all patients in the hospital outside of ICU. This position serves as an educational mentor and teaching resource for inexperienced cardiac PCU nurses who are learning new procedures or have questions/concerns about a patient's assessment. To maintain ICU nursing skills, the Consultation Nurse will work PRN in the ICU (approximately two shifts per six-week schedule).
