About this role
*About This Position*
Right at Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable Caregiver — *CNA preferred* — to support an elderly male client in his home in *Corpus Christi, TX*. The client is a senior gentleman on hospice care with COPD, a pacemaker, and supplemental oxygen. He experienced a significant decline following a hip fracture and now relies on a wheelchair and hoyer lift for safe transfers. He has no memory issues and maintains a warm, familiar routine — his brother and family visit regularly, providing wonderful support. Your role is to ensure his safety, dignity, and comfort during morning and evening shifts.

Morning Shift Monday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (3 hrs)

*Key Duties & Responsibilities*
- Safe transfers using wheelchair, lift chair, and hoyer lift
- Assist with urinal use and brief/incontinence changes
- Bathing assistance (shower chair available; bathtub with handheld shower)
- Morning and evening personal care routines
- Medication reminders (AM & PM pillbox organized by family)
- Light household tasks — laundry folding, tidying
- Companionship and emotional support
- Pet care support (small dog, doggy pads)
- Coordination with hospice team as needed• Coordination with hospice team as needed
*Requirements*
- *CNA preferred*; relevant caregiving experience required
- Experience with *hoyer* lifts, incontinence care, and COPD / oxygen management strongly preferred
- Experience working alongside hospice teams a plus
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
- Flexible availability — both AM and PM shifts, 7 days/week
- Ability to pass a national background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
