Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: May 18, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience with Level 1 Trauma and Neuro backgrounds.

Details Operating Room in a 500-bed Magnet, academic teaching, Level 1 Trauma Center 25-bed OR unit with a high case volume of approximately 60–70 cases Primarily Ortho, Spine, and Neuro cases; no Cardiac or Transplant cases Circulating skills required Medication management via Pyxis Charting via Epic (preferred, not required) Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15 Approximately 2–4 charge shifts per month, occasionally covering weekend nights (Friday and/or Saturday) Weekend flexibility required; Sunday nights are not considered weekend shifts by the facility No floating required No on-call required 13-week contract Requirements Active WA RN license or Compact license holders must apply for a WA license and complete the required 6-hour suicide prevention training and submit demographic data through the WA BON site; pending licenses are not accepted Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required; 3–4 years preferred Level 1 Trauma Center experience required Neuro OR experience required COVID vaccination and booster required, no exceptions Circulating skills required Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction Prior UW Health staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler RTO is limited to no more than 6 days for the contract; no RTO may be requested during orientation week Block scheduling is not available; travelers are expected to remain flexible Facility-provided scrubs Onsite parking is available for a daily fee; an offsite parking option is also available at $10/day via a 10-minute shuttle service (weekdays only, 5:00 AM–10:00 PM; not available nights, weekends, or holidays)

  • Current BLS certification required
