About this role

MacLean-Fogg is hiring an EHS Technician at our Mundelein, IL manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll support workplace safety and environmental compliance through inspections, incident investigations, safety training, hazardous-waste management, and technical EHS reporting. Your work will help identify hazards, prevent future incidents, and support MacLean-Fogg's Mission Zero goal.

Location: Mundelein, IL Work Arrangement: On-site

1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $28-$32/hour Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You'll Do as an EHS Technician

Conduct safety inspections of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and help correct potential hazards.

Assist with workplace incident and injury investigations to determine causes and support actions that help prevent recurrence.

Develop and deliver safety training and education for employees to promote a strong culture of safety.

Collect, sort, and manage hazardous waste materials in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills and procedures.

Collect samples, test equipment, and compile technical reports related to EHS conditions and incidents.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

Associate degree.

0-2 years of experience in environmental, health and safety or a related field within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to effectively interpret guidelines and policies.

Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certification, such as OSHA 30-Hour General Industry.
