About this role
Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). The #1 city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

This is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to:
Post ICU trauma patients (serious traumatic injury to 2 or more body systems) Complex Plastic reconstructive surgeries (including reconstructive flaps and graft sites, post cancer reconstruction, and trauma related reconstruction) Complex ENT patients including free muscle flaps and neck dissections. Complex ENT reconstructive tracheostomies and laryngectomies Traumatic Complex Fractures and musculoskeletal wounds Elective Joint Replacements – Rapid Recovery Program Sports Injuries Spinal Deformities Complicated Pelvic, Hip, and compression Fractures Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities Amputations and Prosthesis Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery Medical/Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry
